• Technical lead for the network automation team for all Zoom data centers worldwide.

Automation / Development

• Created and manage CI/CD pipelines for various applications (Azure DevOps, Jenkins)
• Created an Ansible environment for 180+ F5 BIG-IPs and 500+ switches, routers, etc...
• Developed a zero touch provisioning system for network gear with Python, a REST API, & Ansible.
• Developed an automation framework in AWS around DNS allowing app teams to make their own DNS changes.
• Designed and implemented a DCIM/CMDB in NetBox & Ansible giving a source of truth for 700+ devices.

Networking

• Manage global network (LAN/WAN) for 5500+ employees across dozens of offices and locations.
• Application Delivery Controller stack management for F5 public and internal sites.
• Ownership and management of the Remote Access VPN and SaaS SSO for the entire company.

Implementation

• Worked with customers to create secure SSL VPN, load balancing, and network configuration polices on multiple vendors that support over 50,000 users.
• Pre-sale meetings to determine customer requirements and provide technical expertise.
• Traveled to locations around the world to install equipment in data centers.

Support

• One year of answering tier 2/3 NOC calls and tickets supporting customers.
• Received escalated critical support issues from tier 2/3 NOC.
• Managed VMware vSphere Hypervisors for testing and development.

Development

• Wrote Perl and Python scripts to speed up and standardize implementation configurations within System Engineering team.
• Created and maintained new and more effective dashboard for the NOC. Has become critical to business allowing the NOC to efficiently view, organize, and manage active tickets.
• Modified the OpenBSD kernel and install process for a built in-house appliance shipped to customer sites.
• Integrated vendor Perl APIs to allow more detailed monitoring and reporting for customers.
• Developed a new management service around Global Load Balancing. Allows customers to give a simplified and unified process to their users.

Development

• Developed web applications using PHP and AJAX including: Digital Signage, MSP Platform, Sales tracking for high-end retail, Network status and help request dashboard application for hotel front desks
• Improved network support operations through custom SOAP interfaces for Colubris/HP equipment

Systems Administration

• Managed Solaris and Linux Systems (web hosting, application hosting, mail hosting, proxy hosting and Sun Ray thin client services)
